#I Believe You campaign launch

Tuesday, Sept. 25, noon to 1:30 p.m., AH 100 (Andy’s Place), Anderson Hall

The #I Believe You campaign’s central message is to believe survivors when they disclose sexual assault. This year’s launch includes a formal program and messages from community members and students. Information about support services will also be available.

Concerto Competition

Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2 to 4 p.m., Recital Hall, W570, Centre for the Arts

Now in its third year, the Concerto Competition is open to all students. Four candidates will be competing this year in flute, bass trombone, trumpet and tuba.

Take Two Speaker Series

Thursday, Sept 27, 3:30 p.m., Andy’s Place

In this first session of the academic year, titled Relationships: Research & Teaching, Drs. Erasmus Okine, vice-president (research), and Shelly Wismath, dean of Liberal Education, will discuss how teaching and research intertwine. How can teaching be brought into research? How does the U of L explore research and teaching to excel as a university and support student potential?

University of Lethbridge Orange Shirt Day

Friday, Sept, 28, 11:30 to 11:45 a.m. and 2:30 to 2:45 p.m., Students’ Union Building front steps

ULethbridge Enrolment Services and Indigenous Student Affairs are inviting everyone to join in a photo to be taken on the front steps of U of L Students’ Union Building to honour Orange Shirt Day. Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity to recognize the harm the residential school system did to children’s sense of self-esteem and well-being and as an affirmation of the commitment to ensure that each person matters.
