Advisory - University of Lethbridge 50th anniversary activities coming to Pincher Creek

The University of Lethbridge is hosting a pair of activities in Pincher Creek Apr. 25-26 in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

On Tuesday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at the Kootenai Brown Museum, U of L archivist and historian Mike Perry will be giving a presentation on the 50-year history of the University. This event is free and open to the public.

On Wednesday, April 26 at 2:30 p.m., the University of Lethbridge Mace Program will visit Canyon School as Convocation Chief Marshal Dr. Olu Awosoga, dressed in full regalia, will speak about the history of regalia and symbols to Grade 6 students. Students will then have the opportunity to don white gloves and hold the mace, which has been used in U of L Convocation ceremonies since being dedicated in 1988.
